These last days Google is stepping up with its new video call application Duo , although we are still waiting to have in our hands the Google Allo instant messaging application .

We do not know if it will be able to unseat or at least compete with the applications par excellence, WhatsApp and Telegram. Recall that Google Hangouts has already been in the background so the new bet is Google Allo.

What do we know about Google Allo?

At the moment it is not possible to download Google Allo, we only see a pre-registration button , but some of its features have already come to light.

The search function of Allo is much higher than the Hangouts and I would say that to the rest of IM applications. We have a search icon in the upper right corner that allows us to search for contacts or even a word in all conversations.

Another novelty of Allo is that it will allow us to delete messages sent or received from our conversations, but these will only disappear from our device.

The verification of the account will be done with a telephone number, but Allo will be linked to the Google account of the Android device. After the installation of Allo, we will have an option to unlink Google's Allo account. This point is the one that is creating more discussions, since tablet users generally use a Wi-Fi connection and complain that they can not verify applications linked to phone numbers.

In terms of functionality, Google Allo will allow us:

• Share multimedia files with our contacts. Videos, images and even animated GIFs. When we share static images, such as a jpg file, we will have an editor to annotate the image.
• We can send and receive audio messages , just as we do with WhatsApp.
• Send stickers to animate our conversations. It seems that Google Allo bets on stickers instead of just emoticons, which brings it a little closer to the style of the Line application.
