Smartphones increasingly offer greater possibilities for computers. Both the increase in power and storage of these devices and the increase in speed offered by the new 3G and 4G connections, as well as Wi-Fi, it is increasingly common to use these devices to watch series and movies through the P2P network and even to watch streaming television from this same network.
There are several applications that allow us to see different channels in streaming over the Internet. One of the most well-known and used is Sopcast, application specially designed to broadcast channels with sports events in real time to easily follow these events on our PC, smartphone or tablet. In order to adapt to new technologies, Sopcast has a version specially designed for Android that has similar features to it, and it is also completely free.
The first thing we should do is download and install Sopcast for Android from its main website . From here we will download an apk file with the program that, to install it, we must have in our device enabled the option to install applications from unknown sources (that is, from outside the Play Store).
Once this option is enabled and the Sopcast client for Android installed, we execute it to start using the program. Its use is very simple. The first thing we will see will be a window where it tells us if we want to use the program anonymously (without registering) or log in. For a quick use we can do it perfectly without registering, so we will choose this option to continue.
Once we finish loading the application we will see a list of channels. These channels are the ones offered by Sopcast by default in your client. Each of them is sorted by the category to which it belongs and we can see an icon with a form of coverage that shows us the status of the same (better signal better quality and fewer cuts) as well as what they are throwing at that moment (although that does not work too well).
We can choose one of these channels to see what they do right now or add a channel manually from the button at the top, where we will ask for the URL. This option is practical to be able to use Sopcast with channels different from those offered by default.
Once we select the corresponding channel, a loading window will open. We will wait more or less time (depending on the channel, the broadcast and the speed) until we finish connecting all the pairs and download the necessary parts for instant reproduction in real time.
Once finished, we'll start watching the broadcast.
Sopcast is a very practical application to watch all kinds of sporting events, especially those that are not televised in Spain such as American Football, Hockey and the like. What can be more complicated is the fact of finding the corresponding channel that emits it, although for this we can always resort to well-known web pages that collect this type of channel and allow us to know in real time what they are broadcasting.
