The leaks are not something that I especially like, but when they come from a reliable source, as in this case, it's worth talking about them. Few hours ago the expert in technological leaks Evan Blass, published in his Twitter account the renders of the new LG Watch Style .

Recall that this smartwatch is born from a direct collaboration between LG and Google to deal with its most direct competitors, the Samsung Gear S3 and the Apple Watch. We can also see it as an attempt to revive the operating system for Google wearables, Android Wear 2.0 .

The smartwatches are a product about which much was speculated but finally have not come to have the impact that many expected. The prices and the limited functionality they offer have not made it possible for them to reach the consumer in a global way. Despite this, we have to recognize that the LG Watch Style are very promising.

The design of the LG Watch Style combines classic and rounded lines with circular dial of a conservative size. This smartwatch should look on any wrist without problems.

Regarding the technical specifications of the LG Watch Style, the rumors point to the following:

  • 1.2-inch circular screen with P-OLED technology and 360 x 360 pixel resolution.
  • RAM memory: 512MB .
  • Internal storage: 4GB .
  • Connectivity: WiFi, NFC, GPS, pulse sensor and we do not know if it will equip Bluetooth or not.
  • It will be resistant to splashes and dust, but we do not know the exact type of protection.
  • The battery would be 240 mAh and would allow a full day of use without problems.

The LG Watch Style will be released next February 2 and is expected to be accompanied by a sport version called LG Watch Sport. Hopefully the launch of this new smartwatch fan the flame of Android Wear.
