We all know that Google Chrome is today the most stable browser for Android even though it is not perfect. The arte97 user of XDA-Developers , well known for its previous cores for Samsung, has released a version of Chrome optimized for Snapdragon processors .

One of the great virtues of Apple is to provide its products with the same hardware, which allows optimizing the software to the limit and get the best performance in the market. At the other end of the scale we have Android, which is a universe with a variety of devices unimaginable, which implies different types of hardware and optimizations are an unknown field for most Android developers.

But Android is an open world, where the community can get involved and demonstrate that these optimizations are possible, as is the case with this version of Chrome optimized .

Chrome version optimized for Snapdragon processors.

The first thing we must be clear, is that it is not an official version of Google Chrome, but is based on Chromium, the version of the open source browser and which does not include Google services.

The arte67 user has been able to push all possible modifications to the limit on the Chromium source code to obtain this optimized version. If you have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Krait or Kryo technologies, this version of Chrome is fully optimized for you. The processors that will notice the improvements will be those of the series 600, 800 and the Snapdragon S4 and S4 Pro.

To compile this version of Chrome they have used the LLVM compiler of Snapdragon , which from the page of developers of Qualcomm claim that it is capable of increasing up to 10% the performance of applications.

Of course you have many more optimizations that you can see in XDA-Developers . Other features are dark mode or navigation with gestures.
