When we download and install WhatsApp for the first time the program asks us for our phone number to create an account associated with it on their servers. This account will store all the data related to the phone such as number (to add contacts from the phone book), adjustments, payment plans of the service, groups that we believe or in which we participate, etc.
It is possible that there will come a time when we want to completely eliminate our account and all the data related to us from the WhatsApp servers. Although if we are going to stop using the messaging client we can simply uninstall it and forget, the messaging client has an option specifically designed to eliminate this data easily.
For this we must open the "Settings" menu of our WhatsApp on our device.
Next we will select "Account info".
And here we will select the option "Delete my account". A window similar to the following will appear.
In this window we will see a warning that indicates that our WhatsApp account, our message histories and the groups in which we participate will be completely deleted.
If we want to eliminate our account, we should definitely write down our phone number at the bottom and the same program will take care of the rest.
We must bear in mind that with this process we will eliminate everything related to WhatsApp, so if we have a one-year subscription that we have purchased or have given us for loyalty to the program we will automatically lose this subscription and the next time we want to continue using the program we can not use it.
Undoubtedly the best option is to uninstall WhatsApp from our device and let the subscriptions expire if we are not going to use it. This option to delete account is aimed at users who know definitively that they do not want to continue using this messaging client or do not want any of their data to be on their servers.
