By default in WhatsApp everything we talk with our contacts is recorded in the conversation history. This can come in handy when having to check any previous conversation or, for example, when consulting data if they have sent us an email address or certain data that we could not write down at that time. However, this can also pose a security problem so that if an unauthorized user is done with our device you can consult all the conversations of our WhatsApp, even the most personal and private ones.
If we have treated personal or private subjects by WhatsApp or have sent any personal data by him (address, account number, etc., which we should never do) we can decide whether to delete said content manually without having to delete the entire conversation .
To delete one or more WhatsApp messages from a conversation, simply press and hold on the message in question until we see the selected entry and a menu at the top as we can see below.
In the menu at the top we see a series of buttons that will serve to copy the selection, forward it to another contact or delete it.
To delete the conversation messages in question simply we must press on the icon with form of garbage bin and automatically all the selected text of our conversation will disappear leaving no trace of it in the device.
This function is not only limited to the text, but we can also eliminate the multimedia content sent to us by selecting it as a line of conversation. The photo, video or multimedia content that we delete will disappear from the timeline but will still be stored in our device, so we must also delete it from there.
We want to remember that these messages are only deleted locally, that is, both the WhatsApp servers and the recipient's device will continue to display these messages. To eliminate the messages completely in the sender, receiver and server we will have to use other clients of the WhatsApp competition.
