Xposed modules are one of the most used ways to modify Android and provide it with new features and functions that by default it does not have. The first thing we must do to be able to enjoy these features is to install the Xposed Installer application as we have explained in previous articles. Once installed and activated correctly we can start with the installation of the modules.
Download the modules for Xposed
Xposed modules can be downloaded from a multitude of sites, for example, included in certain applications (Greenify, for example) and that are necessary to activate certain additional functions, from the well-known forums of XDA developers and even from a module search engine. included within the Xposed Installer software.
To access this search engine we will execute the application and click on "Download".
Here we will see a list with all the available modules. We can slide in search of the one we want to install or use the search engine to filter results and be able to locate it more quickly.
In this example we are going to install a module that adds an application to manage the applications that start at the beginning of the operating system. For this in the search engine we write "Boot" and we will see the following.
Nuestor module is called "Boot Manager". Click on it and we will see a window like the next one.
In this window we will see a description of the application. If we slide to the left we will access the downloads section. We will select the most recent version and install it in our system.
Once the download is complete, we must activate the module before it can be used.
Manage the Xposed modules installed in our system
In the main window of Xposed Installer we must click on the "Modules" entry and we will see a list of all the modules installed in our system.
The first thing we must do before we can use them is to activate them by checking the box on the right as "active".
To apply the changes we must restart the device or, otherwise, we can not use it. Once the smartphone is restarted, we will access the list of Xposed modules and clicking on each of them we can configure and manage them individually.
