Android, by default, does not provide many tools designed specifically to obtain more data about the connectivity of our device. The operating system itself simply offers us an intensity meter and a network explorer that allows us to know all the networks we have within reach and connect to the ones we want.
To analyze the different networks that we receive in our devices, there are different applications. One of these applications is Network Signal Info that will allow us to see, for free, a very visual and understandable summary of the WiFi networks and mobile phone networks to which we are connected.
We can download Network Signal Info completely free from the Play Store .
The first thing we can see when starting the application is a summary of our mobile network. In the upper part we will see an intensity meter that will indicate the coverage we have as well as a graph in which will show the average coverage we have registered in what the application was running. In the same way we will see the percentage of intensity, the average of said percentage and the dbm of the signal.
In the lower part we can get more information about the signal such as:
- Network Operator
- SIM operator
- Type of connection and speed
- Intensity
- Information about the antenna to which we are connected.
- country
- IMEI
- IP addresses
At the top we can see a series of buttons. The mobile network corresponds to the first of these buttons. If we click on the second we will obtain a very similar result but with the data corresponding to our WiFi network instead of over the telephone antenna.
As we can see, we will have a graph, a summary of signal and different informative data about all aspects of our WiFi network.
The third button will show us at the same time the 2 information windows on the mobile network and the WiFi network to obtain information about both networks at the same time.
Finally, the fourth button will show us a complete summary on all aspects of our smartphone as well as manufacturer, operating system version, hardware, battery, screen, network traffic, etc.
Finally, this application also has a map that shows the location of the antenna as well as information about the status of our connection.
As we can see, Network Signal Info is an excellent free application that will show us a large amount of information about the status of our wireless connections in a very simple, graphic and visual way.
For advanced users, Network Signal Info has a paid version that enables several additional options.
