Ubuntu, like Windows, also comes by default with an option that allows you to create a wireless access point in the system from which to share the computer's Internet connection with other users. As in other operating systems, in Ubuntu there are several different ways to enable this access point that vary depending on the version of the operating system and the distribution that we use.
In this tutorial we will explain how to share our internet connection from the desktop of the latest version of Ubuntu, currently 14.04.
Once we have started our computer we are placed on the desk of the same and in the upper right, next to the clock, we will see an icon that represents the network connection of our team.
Click on it with the right mouse button and select "Create a new wireless network". A window similar to the following will appear.

Click on the "Create" button and Ubuntu will automatically create the wireless access point. The icon at the top of the system will have changed and will now be displayed with an appearance similar to the following.
The only thing left for us to do is to explore with a smartphone, tablet, video game console or any other device the wireless networks available to us, connect to it with the corresponding password and we will start surfing the Internet through the Internet connection from our computer with Ubuntu.
