Whenever we want to share a photo in our social networks or simply when we want to put an original profile photo, we usually resort to applications that offer us the possibility of adding filters without many complications. Some time ago we talked about Prism , but today we show you what is perhaps the best alternative to Prism, it is Picas - art filters .

The operation of Picas is very similar to that of Prisma and allows us to add filters with artistic orientation to our photos. If it's to create cartoons, I like the app we talked about in this article .

Picas, the best alternative to Prism.

Once the application is installed, we see that we are shown an interface with which we can capture the image with the camera of the mobile device. We can also choose a photograph from our library to apply the filters.

Picas, it puts at our disposal more than 80 different filters to personalize our photographs. Of course, we will need an internet connection for Picas to work, while with Prisma it is no longer necessary. Some of the filters are blocked by default, although we can unblock them for free by sharing the application on our social networks.

Once we have selected our image, we can only go to the filter gallery and apply the one we like the most. The best part of Picas are its filters, a very artistic variety with which we get some amazing finishes. Also the speed and processing of the filter is quite fast, a few seconds and we have the image ready.

Despite being a fairly simple app, it is very powerful and I recommend visiting its options section, where we can find in the settings the option to deactivate the watermark. I also liked that the application offers me the possibility to save or discard the original image (without the filter).

When Prisma came to the Play Store caused quite a stir, but now we see that we have more alternatives and high quality. The Picas download is completely free and the app has advertising.
