In Play Store there are many keyboards for Android but only a few manage to capture the attention of the user. Among these keyboards of quality and good reputation, we have SwiftKey , which has been the subject of a major update to add features such as incognito mode, clipboard manager or keyboard shortcuts .

Some of these developments we could already test in the beta version of SwiftKey, but now officially arrive at the stable version available in the Google Play Store. This keyboard is one of the few that listens to the large community of users behind it and tries to offer those features that are most in demand.

SwiftKey incorporates incognito mode, clipboard manager and keyboard shortcuts in the official Google Play Store version.

Now we will analyze and tell what each of these three new functions of the SwiftKey keyboard update consists of:

  • Incognito mode : by enabling this option what we write does not affect the keyboard learning system, so these words will never appear in the suggestions. It is very useful to conserve our privacy, preventing the learning system from memorizing our passwords, personal data or even banking information that could compromise our security.
  • Clipboard manager : as its name suggests, with SwiftKey we have a clipboard that allows you to manage the elements copied as a history. In this way we have access to everything we have copied recently and not only to the last. This clipboard is automatically cleaned every hour. In my opinion, it is a great addition because it prevents us from using extra applications such as Clip Stack to manage the clipboard.
  • Keyboard shortcuts : it is a very useful option that allows you to assign phrases to abbreviations that we can write more quickly. For example, to close an email with the phrase "Sincerely, the customer service department." Then we can assign the abbreviation "atte".
