The download of torrents is still a way to get content of all kinds and of course this technology has not neglected Android mobile devices. Recently a new torrent client joined the family, it is called CatTorrent and it is already available in the Play Store.

Remember that the torrent files allow us to download and share files between users. To use this type of downloads we only need to download the file with a .torrent extension that occupies a few Kb and the download process will start.

CatTorrent, a new torrent client arrives at Play Store.

CatTorrent may seem like a torrent client more at first sight, but it has caught our attention that it is very light (it does not reach 4MB) and also has no advertising or purchases within the app or anything like that . This reminds me of another torrent client that we talked about a long time ago and that in addition to being free and without advertising is open source, its name is LibreTorrent .

When we talk about CatTorrent, we speak of simplicity and ease of use, it is one of the simplest torrent clients I have seen. It is true that the use of torrents on mobile devices is very limited, especially due to the limitations of data traffic, but with a Wi-Fi connection it can serve perfectly.

In CatTorrent, despite its simplicity, it has all the basic configuration and customization options, for example downloading only when connected via WiFi, managing the download / upload speed, downloading to the SD card directly, downloading only when connected to the charger, etc. But there is a function that I have only seen in CatTorrent and it consists of automatically closing the application once it finishes downloading the torrent file .

It also includes several color combinations for the interface, including two combinations of dark colors. You can download CatTorrent directly from the Google Play Store .
