Torrent file downloads are still very common today and even more so when Internet providers offer higher speeds every time. But it seems that the world of Android mobile devices is also uploaded to the customer's cart to download torrent with the new LibreTorrent, a customer without advertising and available in Play Store .
The main feature of the application is that it is an open source project , where anyone can collaborate either with their programming knowledge or by translating the user interface into other languages.
Something that caught my attention after installing LibreTorrent was that the program is not only completely free, but does not incorporate any type of advertising or micropayment .
LibreTorrent offers a user interface with material design and a simple and clean style. Behind this interface hide a multitude of options that allow us to adjust from the limits of speed, the location of the downloads to the behavior of the application.
Within these options we will find support for the Tor network or use of a proxy , the most fans of privacy always demand these options. It also has to be said that using Tor you can not expect large download speeds.
It allows you to configure different notifications, even select the color of the LED. An option that I found excellent, is the ability to automatically stop all downloads when the battery level drops below 15% .
The application uses a Java wrapper from libtorrent libraries called Jlibtorrent that is also open source. This application requires Android 4.0 or higher for its correct operation.
Maybe this is not the most complete client for Android that we can find at present in the Play Store, but it is the only one without advertising and totally free.
