Xiaomi hits everything, smartphones, bicycles, domestic robots, water purifiers ... seems to have no limits and even more so when a few hours ago Xiaomi launches an electric scooter with a price similar to that of a mid-range smartphone.

This is not the first time that Xiaomi launches a product of this style, since we saw the Ninebot Mini Segway scooter or the QiCycle folding electric bike. All in order to diversify the company and attack all fields.

Launch of the new electric scooter from Xiaomi.

Electric scooters are becoming fashionable especially in large cities , as it allows fast displacements thus avoiding traffic jams and other inconveniences of taking the car.

The design of this scooter is not something that we can highlight, it seems a pretty rough junk although it is not unpleasant to look at. It is made of aluminum and reaches a weight of a not insignificant 12.5Kg . It is available in white or black and is foldable for easy transport.

The braking system consists of the basic disc brakes that we can see on bicycles but according to Xiaomi they have been improved with the E-ABS technology , an electronic braking control system that allows to stop the scooter in 4 meters.

It equips a battery of 18650 mAh manufactured by LG and that promises 30Km of autonomy , according to manufacturer's data. To put a stick to this "vehicle" , I miss some damping system that makes the most bearable paths.

The price of this scooter is € 275 in the country of origin and in principle it will not be sold outside of China, so if you are thinking of importing it from a Chinese store, with what it weighs and its dimensions, you will surely have a cost of considerable shipping.

Using this type of gadgets is a great saving, because if we compare it with the use of a vehicle, we save gasoline, tolls, maintenance, insurance and parking, which is not little. They also have the advantage that they are more respectful with the environment, but this is already somewhat debatable according to which countries and methods to generate electricity employees.
