WhatsApp is a very useful instant messaging client to communicate with our contacts easily and for free (except for the subscription of the service which is approximately 1 euro per year). Although its main function is to communicate with text, WhatsApp also allows sending other types of multimedia content such as photographs, video and audio, among others.

Send this multimedia content is completely free and enters into the subscription of the service. In order to send content, we must open a conversation chat, either a private chat as a group, and click on the icon with a clip that appears at the top of the window.

A tab similar to the following will be displayed.

whatsapp_enviar_multimedia_foto

As we can see, from this tab we can send the following multimedia contents:

  • Gallery: Allows us to select an image stored on our device.
  • Photo: It allows us to open the camera and take a photo to send it automatically.
  • Video: It allows us to send a video previously recorded and stored through WhatsApp.
  • Audio: It allows us to send music through the messaging client.

We can also send other useful content on many occasions such as:

  • Location: Send the coordinates of our exact location to share it with our contact.
  • Contact: It allows to send to a person the file of a contact of our agenda to not have to copy and paste the number of this.

By clicking on the option that we want, the content in question will be automatically sent to the recipient, who will receive it as soon as it is connected. If we have disabled the option to receive multimedia content we will automatically see on our device an icon with a download button. We will click on it and the image, video or audio in question will be downloaded to the device to see it.

We must be careful not to abuse the sending of multimedia content since there may be people who do not want to receive this on their devices and may not sit well.
