The more we use WhatsApp, the more data is stored on our device: images, conversation histories, chats, etc. With the passage of time, it is very likely that our WhatsApp will start to work slowly due to the amount of data that is loaded when executing the client since our internal memory has too much data.

In other articles we have shown you how to delete the multimedia files that you send us through the different chats or groups of conversations. In this tutorial we are going to show you how to eliminate the other data related to WhatsApp, having our client as newly installed on our device.

Depending on the version of our Android operating system, the exact route of our application list may vary but, generally, the route is in Settings> Applications and there looking for the corresponding entry to WhatsApp.

WhatsApp_deliminar_datos_foto_1

Click on it and we will open a summary window with all the information of the application.

To eliminate all the additional data of WhatsApp we must press on the button that appears called "Clear Data" and confirm the action. In a few seconds the input of "Data" will change to have a value of 0 bits and everything related to WhatsApp will have been removed from our smartphone.

The multimedia content is not deleted in this process, only the internal data of the application are deleted as session data, histories, configurations, etc.

With this, all the data will be erased and we will have to log back into the service with our phone number and configure all the aspects we had previously (funds, notifications, etc). The subscription of the service and the groups will not be eliminated with this process since that information is stored in the remote servers of WhatsApp and not in our device.

Once we finish the login again we can see how our WhatsApp works much faster and the device is less saturated.
