You have to know, that before sharing your connection, you first have to configure the "Wi-Fi Zone" feature, which is what will allow you to perform said action. To do this you just have to execute each of these steps:
Step 1
First, you have to go to the main screen of your mobile phone and from there look for the option "Settings", you can also find it in the application menu of it.
Step 2
Then, you have to scroll down in the options menu where you will appear, and then proceed to select the "Portable Wi-fi Zone" option, which is in the lower part of said panel.
Step 3
Now the system will direct you to the "Portable Wi-fi Zone" section, in which you have to search and press the second option called "Configure Portable Wi-fi Zone" to continue.
Step 4
In this new window where you will appear, you must proceed to place the name and password that you wish to establish to your Wi-fi zone. The name specifically goes in the "SSID" box and the password in the tab that has the same name. When you have finished, you should simply click on the "Accept" option in the upper right corner.
2. How to activate Internet sharing in Xiaomi Mi 8
Well, once you have completed this last procedure, you have to know that you can start sharing the internet from your mobile device. To do this, perform the following steps:

Go to the system settings of your device. These can be found directly in the "Settings" option that is on the main screen of your system or in the application\'s menu.

Next, you have to go down in the panel where you will appear, and proceed to select the "Portable Wi-fi Zone" option that is there.

To finish, you will only have to go to the "Portable Wi-fi Zone" option in the section where you will appear. To activate it, you simply have to slide the bar that is right next to it, from the left to the right of your screen, then verify that it turns blue, and go.
