I have seen more than one
guide on how to search for domains. It is expired with authority
, but none of the tutorials convince me, not because they do not work, but because the techniques used are not the fastest and the programs used are not the most appropriate, so I have decided to create my own guide to
search and register domains. It is expired with PageRank
and authority.
As many of you will already know the search for expired domains with authority and PageRank is one of the best techniques to get domains with strength to create satellite blogs or even to start a new project.
I will explain the process step by step and I will also
provide exclusive Vozidea tools that I have programmed for the occasion
, which will not only help us to obtain better results, but will also help us to carry out the process faster.
How to look for domains. Is expired with authority
Get list of .es domains
The first step is to get a list with
.es
domains, for this step the easiest way is to go to the page that the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism of Spain has commissioned the management of the domain registration with the country code
.es
and there we are shown statistics on registered domains that we can use to get expired domains. The page is as follows:
http://www.dominios.es/dominios/es/todo-lo-que-necesitas-saber/estadisticas
The minimum time for which a domain is registered is one year, so it does not make sense to use lists of the year 2014 or 2013 right now
, when the time passes then they will be useful since some domain will surely have expired.
Once we access the page above, select a year and a month and open the PDF corresponding to
"High per month"
. These PDFs usually have a considerable size since they contain quite a few domains.
Copy .es domains to text file
Now we have to copy the domains of the PDF and this is where some of you will find the first inconvenience. When copying the domains, the registration date is also copied and manually cleaning the domains is not viable. For this I provide a tool in which to paste the content copied from the PDF and
is responsible for only extracting the domains. It is leaving the list clean
. The program is called Ex-Pirados
(nice name hehe)
and you can
download it here
(you need to have the .Net Framework 4 installed and I've only tried it on Windows 7)
.
Once the program has been executed and the domains extracted, we paste them into a
TXT
file and save (for this article I will name
dominios.txt
).
Quick check of expired domains
This is where the quick check of the domains comes and that again this guide differs from the rest because the checking will be much faster and I facilitate
another exclusive application of Vozidea
for the occasion, it is IP-Report that you can
download here
.
What this application does is to make domain resolution requests instead of making HTTP requests (as most scrapers, spiders, link checkers, etc ...) would do. This is done in this way because making an HTTP request is much more expensive in resources than requesting the resolution of a domain name and therefore we
accelerate the process by 200% or more
.
I do not want to go into technical details, but to give you an idea to solve a domain name is to obtain the corresponding IP address. If the domain name does not resolve to any IP, then we can consider that it has expired
(even so you have to make the final check before registering it)
.
In this step we will simply load the list
dominios.txt
created in the previous step in the IP-Report program and leaving the default settings press the
Start
button. The program creates a list of name
report.txt
by default that contains the domains that do not resolve to any IP and that we will use in the next step.
Final check of expired domains (authority and whois)
In this step we already have the
report.txt
file that the IP-Report program creates and that contains all the domains that could not be resolved.
At this point you can check the authority of the domains (using
DAPA Dump
for example) and then those who have authority and are interested are checking them on some domain registration page. One that I like very much is the
mass check of DonDomain
(accepts a list of up to 250 domains)
, but remember to select the option
"By domain"
in the type of search.
And this is it, with these simple steps we can
search for domains that are expired with authority quickly
.
