There are many Google applications that are really useful and we can not imagine a smartphone that does not use them. Google Contacts is one of those applications that helps us keep our contacts organized and we will soon have the Google Contacts 1.5 update in the Play Store.

The Android version of Google Contacts always had fewer functionalities than the web version, although with this new update of Contacts 1.5, functionality and practicality are greatly improved .

Google Contacts 1.5 available soon in the Play Store.

One of the first changes we observed in this new version of Contacts is the user interface . The first significant change is the "hamburger menu" from which new options are displayed, such as viewing duplicate contacts or filtering them by label.

The functionality of adding labels has always been present in Contacts, but it was not accessible from the Android application . With this new update we can now manage the labels of our contacts directly from our device .

The management of duplicate contacts has also been simplified and for the better. Before we had to manually locate contacts duplicated contacts, now we have an option that is responsible for locating them for us. This function even remains operative when we synchronize our contacts from several accounts and when it finds a duplicate one, we can link them. In this way both accounts maintain their contacts, but in the device it will be displayed as a single contact.

With this new version we can add new contacts in a more intuitive and simple way. At the moment, the update is not available in the Play Store (it will take a few days), but it can now be updated by downloading the APK file. A secure source from which to download Google Contacts 1.5 is as follows: APKmirror

Remember that to install the APK file manually you must have the option "Unknown origins" in the security settings enabled.
