Gone is that old battle between manufacturers of mobile devices to see who offered more megapixels, now everything points to the future will be double cameras . With the implementation of the double cameras, it is intended to obtain a greater definition in the photographs and for this purpose, Qualcomm presents its Clear Sight technology .

That a camera has more megapixels does not imply a higher image quality, only a larger size. But with the new Clear Sight technology from Qualcomm chips, not only will manufacturers be able to deploy dual cameras , but the clarity of the photographs will be greatly improved .

New Clear Sight technology for dual cameras from Qualcomm, allows you to take pictures with more clarity.

The operation of this new technology is based on a process similar to that which occurs in human sight. The dual camera offers two sensors with the same characteristics, but with a single difference, one of them captures black and white images . As a result, after taking a picture we will have a color image and a grayscale image.

Many of you are wondering why take a black and white image? The answer is simple, when taking a picture in which only a grayscale is appreciated, the resulting image is sharper and in low light conditions allows to reduce the noise, since it increases the capture of light considerably (can even triple it) .

image The next step will be the processing of both images to form a single sharper image. The Spectra ISP image processor included in the Qualcomm chips is responsible for this task. At the moment this technology is available in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Snapdragon 821 chips, so devices that equip these processors, will surely incorporate a dual camera to take advantage of its full potential.
