Below we show you the price of Bitcoin ( BTC ) today

As you can see in the previous graph, we show you the Bitcoin price in real time, the position it occupies in the Cryptocurrency Ranking , the market capacity (Market Cap) and the volume of the last 24h.

For those who do not yet know Bitcoin, we have developed a small table of contents with the main characteristics of Bitcoin (BTC)

What is Bitcoin?

In 2009 the so-called Bitcoin was born, it is a decentralized virtual currency, that is, no government or institution has control over it. Its price is variable, depending on the law of supply and demand. Bitcoin is used as a payment system and its technology is the "chain of blocks".

Bitcoins are managed through a digital wallet, that is, an application that can be used for both mobile and PC. It can be downloaded for free, transactions are made from the application itself.

When buying Bitcoins it is very simple, there are several pages where you can do it. They are online platforms where you can pay with your credit card or bank transfer, you pay in euros or dollars and you receive the same amount in Bitcoins (Exactly it is not the same amount, since they take a small commission to offer the service). Some examples of websites to buy Bitcoins are:

• Coinbase * : 3.5% commission (most popular).
• Kraken * : Commission between 0.16 and 0.26%.

Where to save Bitcoins?

Today we have several options available to acquire a purse, the most important is the security and functionality of it. It is important to note that the Bitcoins themselves are not stored in the wallet, but in the "blockchain" backed by thousands of nodes.
