Xiaomi is one of the Chinese companies that has undergone a great expansion this year. For some time now, the Chinese brand announced the creation of a new division, which would work on the development of a second brand of the company called PocoPhone . Well we can say that we have among us the first smartphone of this new brand, the Little F1 .
In Spain we are witnessing how Xiaomi has opened its first physical stores to the public. This has facilitated the arrival of the new devices of the brand to our country, since until now we had to resort to shops of the rising sun.
The appearance of PocoPhone is due to a company strategy to improve sales of high-end smartphones in a specific country, India. At the moment, these devices will only be available in India (although it will arrive in Spain) and will try to offer much more competitive prices than other high-end Xiaomi models .
Characteristics of the first PocoPhone model, the Little F1.
Exterior design and a great notch.
The first thing that strikes us about the Little F1 is its casing, which is not metal as you would expect, but is built in polycarbonate. PocoPhone hides in that the majority of users end up using a plastic sleeve for the mobile phone, so it does not make sense to use more expensive materials that will be hidden by a sleeve.
Clarify that it is also expected to launch a model with housing built in Kevlar to be called, Little F1 Armored Edition .
The Little F1 incorporates a notch of considerable size, in which all the sensors are agglutinated: infrared, proximity sensor and front camera. Of these sensors, we highlight the one that enables the infrared facial unlocking, which allows to unlock the smartphone even at night .
The screen is 5.99 inches with AMOLED technology and a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels.
Camera and battery at the height of any high-end smartphone.
On the other hand, the rear camera is double sensor, one of 12MP and another secondary of 5MP . This dual camera offers fast focus and high quality photographs in extreme situations.
The battery is of 4000 mAh with fast charge , concretely with the technology QuickCharge 3.0 of Qualcomm. This battery guarantees a great autonomy, which is one of the most demanded aspects in high-end smartphones.
Power for applications and games that demand high performance.
The design and development of the Little F1 has revolved around performance and performance, wanting to demonstrate that it is not necessary to spend more money than necessary. To give fluidity to the mobile, they have equipped a high-end hardware. On the one hand we have a Snapdragon 845 CPU accompanied by the Adreno 630 GPU .
The great novelty is that they have incorporated a liquid cooling system to prevent overheating of the processor. This allows squeezing the full potential of the processor without loss of performance.
To accompany this CPU, they have equipped the following RAM and storage variants:
- 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
- 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
- 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
OS.
The operating system will be MIUI but will incorporate a new launcher that promises better performance. According to the company itself, this launcher will even reach the Play Store throughout this month of August. The Android version of output will be Android 8.1 Oreo, but will soon update to Android 9 Pie.
Price.
The price ranges from € 260 for the basic model, to € 370 for the Kevlar model.
