Xiaomi has done it again, has released a new version of its smart bracelet, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 . This accessory triumphs whenever it reaches the market, as it maintains an affordable price and more than enough functions.
It is a product that adapts to both users of technological products and athletes , whether practicing an activity in an amateur or professional way. It is a quantifying bracelet that motivates every athlete and that at the same time offers interesting functions of connectivity with the smartphone.
Its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, was already a success in sales and price. We can deduce that the new Mi Band 3 will also achieve this by keeping a price around € 30 . The great novelty is also that this time will make its official arrival in the Spanish market, in previous models always had to resort to the Chinese market.
The new Xiaomi Mi Band 3 arrives in Spain for less than € 30.
Within all the novelties that this new model of the Mi Band includes, there are two characteristics that have caught our attention. On the one hand a larger OLED touch screen than in the previous version, arriving in the My Band 3 at 0.78 inches .
The second notable feature is the resistance to water, this time being submersible up to 50m (5 ATM) . Even observing these specifications, I think it is not the right product for diving, but it does give us more guarantees of tightness when using it in the pool or while we shower.
Other features of the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 :
- OLED screen with a resolution of 120 × 80 pixels.
- Battery with a range of 110 mAh.
- Pulse counter, speed, accelerometer, calorie counter, etc.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.2 LE and a version that also includes NFC will be released.
Design and quality of materials.
The device strap is available in three different colors: blue, red and black. The material is made of plastic and the strap is comfortable once it is placed on the wrist. The touch is pleasant and the screen seems quite resistant to scratches.
Its design is not very innovative compared to the previous version, but have advanced a step further in elegance.
Experience of using the Xiaomi Mi Band 3.
I'll start by talking about the duration of the battery, something that never ceases to amaze me. With its 110 mAh, it is able to offer a range of up to 20 days without the need for charging. This obviously always with nuances, if you spend the day seeing notifications and fiddling with the screen, then the autonomy will be reduced. I can say that with a "normal" use, the battery lasts between a week and two weeks .
Something that still does not like is the type of special charger that includes this product. We will have to be very careful not to forget it when we go on a trip because it does not use a micro-USB charger, USB-C or anything similar.
The screen even being bigger, outdoors when there is a lot of sun it will be inevitable to look for the shadow with the hand to be able to read with clarity the data. Although it is true that the screen seems to have a greater brightness than its predecessor .
What I like most is to be able to read the notifications of my smartphone on the wristband, since it vibrates and warns you. The information of the notifications is very complete , being able to even discard them from the own My Band.
In short, a product with a reasonable price that fits perfectly in all pockets or ... should I say dolls?
