To achieve internet sharing in the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, we must follow the following steps:
Step 1
We place in the main menu of the device the icon "Settings" which can be identified by being represented by a cogwheel.
Step 2
Immediately, a list will be displayed in a menu where we are offered several alternatives among which we must select the one named "Wifi and portable area".
Step 3
Afterwards, a window will open showing a range of options, selecting "Configure portable Wifi zone".
Step 4
In this part of the procedure, we can place the name with which we want to identify the phone, for it we must write it in the area designated as "Name", likewise it is necessary to enter the access password to continue with the procedure. Now we proceed to press the "Accept" link which is located in the upper right part of the screen, at the end of this action the changes will be saved automatically.

On the main screen of the mobile device, we select the "Settings" icon.
