Once we click on 'Find duplicates' , the application will begin to track our agenda. When it is finished, we will receive a notification with the duplicate contacts in our notification bar. By clicking on the notification, the application will be reopened to give us the option to merge those duplicate contacts. We can select which ones we want to merge and which ones we do not. Once selected, we only have to press the 'Merge' button located at the bottom of the screen. Before carrying out the operation we will send an alert message. That is all.
How can I avoid duplicate contacts from the PC?
To avoid this problem, a good option is to use Gmail from an internet browser on a computer. Enter your inbox and top left where you put Gmail press the drop-down and select contacts. Another option is to choose the contacts icon of Google applications from the squares on the top right or by putting this URL in the browser's address bar: https://contacts.google.com .
If you have duplicate contacts, a warning will appear at the top or you can also look for them in the menu on the left. Now you will be able to choose the contacts you want to combine one by one.
