Let's call it design failure or manufacturing failure, but
Samsung has been forced to stop sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7
. All the commotion that caused this phablet during its launching, seems that it has been reduced by the
problems that it is giving during the charge of its battery, that can get to ignite the device
.
The news of alarm jumped to the network after the publication of a video on
YouTube
in which we see a
Galaxy Note 7
fully burned after loading. The user states that he has used the official charger that includes Samsung, so the problem is the terminal, not the charger.
Samsung confirms the technical problems when charging the Galaxy Note 7 battery.
A few hours later,
Samsung in an official statement acknowledged the failure and paralyzed sales to offer users who have received the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 a replacement for a new device
, if requested.
According to Samsung, is a failure related to the battery of the device, but that
only affects a very low percentage of devices
(24 out of every million units are affected by this problem)
. Even so, Samsung has decided to stop the sale of the device to replace the affected terminals.
Of course, they have also solved the problem so that it does not repeat itself in the units that are manufactured in the future. This is a clear example of how a company should act before a failure of these characteristics, which is totally alien to the user.
The free replacement offered by Samsung, is undoubtedly a great decision.
A device that exceeds € 800 can not afford this type of failures, which are a risk to the integrity of people and that can pose a very high risk of fire in homes.
The launch in Spain of the Galaxy Note 7 was scheduled for September 9, but after this bad news, it
is delayed its arrival in the Spanish market
.
