We are many who have decided to take the step and start using the Google keyboard, because it is a simple, fast and complete keyboard. We all know the desire of Google to improve their services and this time it has touched their keyboard that comes under a new name, Gboard and with new features.

In my case the change was motivated because the keyboard that includes my factory smartphone does not have the letter "ñ" , and for this reason it is worth installing the Google keyboard. There are many alternative keyboards present in the Play Store and Google can not be left behind.

First of all it is striking that they decided to rename the name of the keyboard to Gboard , now we will all identify it by this one-word name. But what has caught our attention is the icon of colors with the "G" Google and that gives us access to the search engine directly from the keyboard .

In summary, the novelties that we have been able to detect at a glance are :

• Direct search from the keyboard , which can be accessed by clicking on the Google logo. The search is predictive, so it will not show suggestions to complete our search.
• Possibility of sharing cards directly from the keyboard.
• If we grant the keyboard permission to access the contacts of our mobile, it will suggest contacts at the time of writing.
• Possibility of inserting animated GIF files . This functionality is accessible through a long press on the emoticons icon.
• Possibility of managing the prediction using simultaneously three different languages.
• Renovated design
• In addition to the name change to Gboard, the icon of the application has also been changed.

At the moment it is not available in the Play Store, but it is expected that a global update will be launched over the next few days.
