During 2016 the Huawei P9 Lite has been one of the best selling mobile phones, the reliability that Huawei is demonstrating in its devices together with a contained price, it seems that it is the recipe for success. So that your small device can continue competing in the market with the rest of the smartphones of its range, they have updated it with the name of Huawei P9 Lite 2017 .

In this new version we will find a renewed hardware, updated operating system and have even slightly changed the design. Some media has also mentioned that this model is destined for Latin America, but that in Europe we can see it under the Honor brand with a different name , but nothing is confirmed.

Until now when we saw an update of a smartphone in the economic range, there were no changes in the design, but in the Huawei P9 Lite 2017 we see that a different way has been introduced for the fingerprint sensor, the strip that contained the camera and a brighter material has been used for the body of the device. All the changes introduced give the terminal a more elegant finish and with a greater feeling of premium mobile.

As for hardware, the changes introduced are:

• The processor has been renewed incorporating the Kirin 655 (4x 2.1 GHz + 4x 1.7 GHz) . This new processor is slightly more powerful than the Kirin 650 that incorporated the 2016 version.
• In terms of RAM and internal storage we will see two versions: 3GB / 32GB and 4GB / 64GB .
• Regarding the screen, there are no changes and the FullHD resolution is maintained in the 5.2-inch IPS panel.
• In the Huawei P9 Lite 2017 a 12MP rear camera has been introduced. Knowing that the 2016 version included a 13MP camera, we imagine that despite losing 1MP the quality will be higher, but we can not confirm it.
• The operating system is updated and will bring Android 7 Nougat from the factory. The rest of the technical specifications are the same as those of the 2016 model.
