Be it better or worse, it is undeniable that the browser par excellence on Android devices is Google Chrome . Moving the address bar to the bottom can mean a substantial change, since it is more accessible and we could even change the tab or write new URLs holding the device with one hand . The location of the address bar at the top, you can imagine that it is direct inheritance of Google Chrome desktop.

How to place the Chrome address bar at the bottom.

First of all, to test this functionality, we will need to have installed the Canary version of Google Chrome , which we talked about a few weeks ago in this article . To summarize, we could say that the Canary version is the experimental version that includes innovative functions.

Once Chrome Canary is installed on our Android device, we can proceed to place the Chrome address bar at the bottom. For this we have to access the secret settings known as Chrome Flags .

Access the following URL by pasting it in the address bar "chrome: // flags / # enable-chrome-home" and then enable the Chrome Home option and ask us to restart the browser.

Now, we can see that the address bar already appears in the lower part, but at the moment it has a small inconvenience, which is that the space it occupied in the upper part is empty, thus being totally wasted.

Although the lower address bar is in the experimental stage, something tells me that we will soon see it in the stable version .
